Eva Mendez opening up about life as a mom and an appearance on Access daily Thursday. The mother of two daughters says parenthood is so fun and beautiful and maddening.
Eva, who shares 5-year-old Esmeralda and 3-year-old model with actor Ryan Gosling, adds, quote, It’s so hard, of course. It’s like that feeling up. You end your day, you put them to bed. And Ryan and I kind of look at each other like we did it. We did it. They came out relatively unscathed.
The star took time away from acting after welcoming the couple’s daughters. She says I’m so thankful I had the opportunity to be home with them. The actress is last credited. The role was from her film Loss River in 2014. During the interview, she was vague about when exactly she plans to return to acting.
Ryan and Eva are notoriously private about their children, but Abel reveals that the girls love arts and crafts and painting for the question of if they will follow in their parent’s footsteps towards a career in entertainment. She says We have instruments around. They pick them up. We can’t say they actually play anything, but it’s just a playful environment.
Eva also reveals that thanks to her family close by and Ryan’s family flying in from Canada, often the couple does get to enjoy some date nights. There’s just a lot of prep that goes into planning them, and anyone with kids totally understands that.
Eva calls Ryan a creative genius and adds that she would love to collaborate with him again at any time. She said, quote, I would audition for him any day.
